Hi, I’m Asfand Iqbal, the person behind Wishemsgs.
Unlike big corporations or ad-heavy websites, I run this platform as a solo creator. I don’t have a legal team. I don’t have data brokers knocking on my door. What I have is a simple belief:
You came here for wishes, not to be tracked.
This Privacy Policy is written in plain English (not lawyer-speak) because I want you to actually understand what happens with your information.
Spoiler alert: Almost nothing.
What This Policy Covers
This policy applies to:
- Wishemsgs.com and all its pages
- Any interaction you have with me via email
- Your browsing behavior on this website
This policy does not apply to:
- Websites you visit after clicking an external link from Wishemsgs
- Social media platforms (Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram) where you share our wishes
- Any third-party services I don’t control
What Information Do I Actually Collect?
I keep things minimal. Here’s the honest truth:

B. Information Automatically Collected
Like every website on the internet, my hosting server records:
- Your IP address (general location, not your home address)
- Browser type (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc.)
- Pages you visit
- Date and time
- Referring website (if you clicked from Google, Facebook, etc.)
Why? To understand what wishes people like most, so I can write better content. That’s it.
Cookies – The Tiny Text Files
Yes, Wishemsgs uses cookies. But not the creepy kind.
What Cookies Do Here:

No DART cookies. No ad tracking cookies. No cross-site tracking.
Why? Because I don’t run ads. Simple.
Google Analytics – The Only Third-Party Tool
I use Google Analytics to understand basic things like:
- How many people visit Wishemsgs daily
- Which wish categories (birthday, Diwali, condolence) are most searched
- Whether the website is loading fast or slow
What Google Analytics DOES NOT do on my site:
- Track you across other websites
- Collect your name, email, or address
- Share your data with advertisers (because I don’t have ads)
You can opt out of Google Analytics entirely by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Email Communications – What You Can Expect
When you email me at hello@wishemsgs.com or asfand@wishemsgs.com:
What I WILL do:
- ✅ Read your message carefully
- ✅ Respond as quickly as I can (usually within 24-48 hours)
- ✅ Keep your email only until your issue is resolved
What I WILL NOT do:
- ❌ Add you to a “newsletter” without asking
- ❌ Sell your email to anyone
- ❌ Send you spam or promotional emails
- ❌ Email you months later for no reason
If I ever start a newsletter (doubtful), I will ask for your explicit permission first.
Children Under 13 – A Serious Matter
Wishemsgs is a family-friendly website. All content is appropriate for all ages.
However, I do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has sent me an email or provided any information:
- Contact me immediately at esfundiqbal@gmail.com
- I will delete everything within 24 hours
To parents: I encourage you to supervise your child’s internet use. But rest assured, there is nothing on Wishemsgs designed to attract or trap children.
Your Rights (Because You Have Them)
Depending on where you live, you may have legal rights regarding your data. I respect them all.

Response Time
I will respond to all privacy requests within 10 days – usually much faster.
Log Files – The Technical Stuff
Like every website, my server keeps log files. These include:
- IP address (masked in analytics)
- Browser type and version
- Pages visited
- Time and date
- Referring URL
This data is not personally identifiable. I cannot look at a log and know it’s “you.” I use logs to:
- Detect and block hackers or spam bots
- Understand traffic patterns
- Fix technical issues
Logs are automatically deleted after 90 days.
Third-Party Links – I Don’t Control Them
Sometimes I link to:
- Wikipedia (for festival information)
- Dictionary websites (for word meanings)
- Other helpful resources
Once you click a link and leave Wishemsgs, I have no control over what those websites do.
If you’re concerned about privacy on another website, read their privacy policy – not mine.
Data Security – How I Protect You
I take security seriously because I don’t want my site hacked either.
What I do:
- 🔒 SSL Certificate – Your connection to Wishemsgs is encrypted (look for the padlock 🔒 in your browser)
- 🔒 Regular Updates – I keep WordPress, plugins, and server software current
- 🔒 Limited Access – Only I (Asfand) have access to server logs and emails
- 🔒 Strong Passwords – No “password123” here
What I cannot guarantee:
No website is 100% secure. While I do my best, I cannot promise absolute security. You use Wishemsgs at your own risk – but I promise to do everything reasonable to protect you.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
I may update this policy occasionally. Why?
- New laws or regulations
- New features on the website
- Clarifications or improvements
When I make changes:
- The “Effective Date” at the top will change
- If the changes are significant, I’ll post a notice on the homepage
I won’t email you about policy changes (because I don’t keep email lists).
Your continued use of Wishemsgs after changes means you accept the updated policy.
