Version 4.6 of Honkai: Star Rail is out, and it goes by the name “Dance With the Beast Before Moonrise.” It went live on September 28, 2026 for Asia and Europe, and the evening of September 27 for players in the Americas. One new 5-star headlines it. Her name is Pearl.

Who Is Pearl?
She’s a 5-star Ice unit on the Elation path, and the only brand new 5-star this version. Her banner, “An Ocean in a Pearl,” stays up for the entire patch, from late September through November 10. That’s a long window, which is nice if you like to take your time.
One source describes her as a DEF-scaling healer from the Intrastar Peace Corporation’s Ten Stonehearts. Another notes that her story Path is Preservation, even though she plays as an Elation unit. Yes, that’s a bit confusing. I’d check her kit page in-game before you plan a team around her.
Her signature Light Cone is Colors for Tomorrow. It’s worth a look if you’re thinking about pulling for her.
The Two Banner Phases
Pearl isn’t alone. The version is split into two phases, and each one brings back a familiar face.
Phase 1 runs until October 21 and features Evanescia on a rerun, along with the Light Cone Until the Flowers Bloom Again. Phase 2 starts on October 21 and runs until November 10. That’s when Mortenax Blade comes back, together with his signature Light Cone, Reforged in Hellfire.
Across all of the character banners, the boosted 4-stars are Qingque, Xueyi and Misha. If you’re short on units like those, that’s a handy bonus.
Events and Free Rewards
This is the part I’d actually pay attention to, because the freebies are generous.
Love, Ghosts & Robots runs from September 28 to November 11. You help Skott’s mechatron workshop hit its quotas. The payout is solid: 1,200 Stellar Jade, a Self-Modeling Resin, 2 Tracks of Destiny, the “Lone Wolf Shades” fashion item and a Traveler’s Guide.
Astral Slammers Squad! is a permanent event with 500 Stellar Jade and 1 Track of Destiny. Wishpower UP! Down with Voracity runs through November 11 and gives 500 Stellar Jade, 18 Trendible Vouchers and a Commemorative Medal. Add Interastral Peace Gala: One Take, which starts October 21 and gives another 500 Stellar Jade, and the listed events alone add up to 2,700 Stellar Jade.
There’s also the Gift of Odyssey. Log in across seven days and you collect 10 Star Rail Special Passes. And if you picked up the Fate collaboration login reward, remember that the free unit choice, Gilgamesh or Archer, is claimable until the end of 4.6.
Farming Windows to Mark Down
Two limited-time boosts are coming. Planar Fissure runs from October 12 to October 25 and doubles planar ornament drops from the Simulated Universe. Garden of Plenty arrives later, from October 30 to November 11, and doubles Golden and Crimson Calyx rewards.
If your relic setups still need work, those two windows are where the real progress happens. Save your Trailblaze Power for them rather than burning it all now.
Making a Plan for Your Pulls
With Pearl up all versions and two rerun banners behind her, you don’t have to rush. A simple approach: count what you’ve got, then add the Stellar Jade you’ll earn from the events above. Most people end up with more than they expect. Some players prefer to fill a gap with an hsr top up when they’re a few pulls short of a character they really want, but if you’re careful with the free rewards, you may not need it at all.
A Quick Look at What’s Next
Version 4.7 isn’t live yet, but the leaks and the official reveal are already out. The next headliner is Aeon Aha, a 5-star Quantum character on the Elation path. According to one source, she’s the character players first met as Nihilux, the comic author from the Planarcadia story, and the first Aeon to become playable.The expected start is around November 11, but that date is an estimate based on the usual six-week patch cycle, not an official announcement. Her full kit, Eidolons and signature Light Cone should show up in the Version 4.7 Special Program.
